Initial Idea

 As I begin my 8 week project final I've decided to change directions from my mid term intro with the intent of keeping some of its elements. My original intro involved cross cutting to show two friends evenings collide when one invites the other to party as a way to reconnect. The original intro ends with one of the friends being roofied as a party, incorporating drugs as a social issue.

The plan is to rearrange the clips from my original intro, mixed them with newly shot clips, and create my final project. Instead of present time cross cutting between two friends, the intro will have more of a monologue beginning. The cross cutting between friends will get substituted with flash back clips as the speaker describes past event of his life to explain to the viewer how he got in the position he is in present time. The scene where the friend gets drugged will be moved from the end to the middle. This change will be followed by adding the title card of the movie closer towards the 60% mark of the intro to help cap off the introduction of the first character.

Following the title card, the monologue will continue shortly after as the speaker introduces the second character of the movie. The plan is to have the monologue not last to long and have a smooth transition into the second friends active life.

These changes have been designed to help build a connection between the viewers and the characters in the movie.
